Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Prepare and review estate, gift, fiduciary, corporate, pass-through entity, and individual tax returns with accuracy and efficiency.
• Analyze estate planning documents (wills, trusts, codicils, POAs) and correctly apply provisions.
• Provide consulting and planning services for clients facing complex tax and estate matters.
• Collaborate closely with managers, partners, and team members to deliver top-tier service.
• Participate in special projects, including estate planning, tax research, and consulting engagements.
• Engage in community and networking events to strengthen professional relationships.

Qualifications:

What Were Looking For

• 35 years of public accounting experience with progressive tax complexity.
• Strong working knowledge of:
  • Trust taxation theory, fiduciary accounting income, and distributable net income rules.
  • Revocable living trusts, grantor trusts, marital trusts, bypass trusts, charitable split-interest trusts.
  • Oregon estate tax laws.
  • Corporate, pass-through entity, and individual taxation.
• CPA license preferred (or actively pursuing completion of the CPA exam).
• If licensed, must be a member in good standing with the AICPA.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
