Youll work directly with supervisors, managers, and partners on complex accounting, auditing, and tax projects while mentoring junior staff. This position is ideal for someone ready to expand their technical expertise, contribute to client success, and step into a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

As a Tax Senior, you will:

• Perform diversified accounting, auditing, and tax assignments.
• Supervise and guide staff accountants and assistants, reviewing and revising their work.
• Determine audit testing requirements and select transactions for review.
• Prepare and index working papers, applying GAAP procedures to ensure accuracy.
• Draft client correspondence and provide input on management letters.
• Prepare complex tax returns, including dissolutions and liquidations.
• Propose tax planning ideas to managers and partners.
• Balance deadlines and projects with occasional overtime (JanuaryApril peak season may exceed 55 hours/week).

Qualifications:

What Were Looking For

• Experience: 35 years in public accounting with progressive responsibilities.
• Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting.
• Certification: CPA license (or working toward completion of the CPA exam).
• Professional Growth: Commitment to 40+ hours of continuing education annually.
• Membership: AICPA member in good standing (if licensed).
• Strong technical skills, leadership ability, and client-service mindset.
