Job description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Senior to join our International Tax practice. This role is ideal for an experienced tax professional who thrives in complex international compliance and consulting environments and is eager to expand their technical expertise.
The Tax Senior will support managers and partners on a wide range of international client engagements, handling tax compliance, consulting, and specialized reporting. With exposure to diverse industries and international clients, this position offers a strong growth pathway into management while maintaining work-life flexibility in a remote-first environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist partners and managers with international client engagements across compliance and consulting.
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations with international reporting requirements.
- Manage and prepare client monthly accounting and financial statements.
- Analyze financial data and prepare supporting reports for forensic accounting, litigation support, and bankruptcy projects.
- Research and apply international tax regulations to support compliance and planning initiatives.
Qualifications:
Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 2+ years experience in public accounting with a focus on international tax compliance.
- Exposure to international tax forms such as 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, 8621, and 1116.
- CPA license (active or in progress).
- Experience with expatriate/inpatriate tax matters.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual Japanese/English required.
