Job description:
This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of external and internal tax compliance and reporting at the national, state, and local levels to ensure the organization's adherence to tax regulations. The position includes managing tax reporting for international operations as part of consolidated tax filings, overseeing sales tax processes, handling communications with tax authorities, and managing audits. The role also involves identifying areas for tax savings and conducting research on emerging tax issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review invoices, manage exemption certificates, and handle sales tax filings.
- Manage and resolve tax audits and inquiries.
- Prepare and ensure compliance with federal and international tax filings.
- Collaborate with global teams for accurate reporting.
- Calculate quarterly tax estimates and oversee tax payments.
- Support cross-border tax compliance and employee travel issues.
- Handle tax planning, M&A analysis, and compliance.
- Monitor and document tax issues and legislative changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA license and/or a masters degree in taxation
- 15+ years of experience with corporate tax compliance and reporting, including international tax matters
- 5+ years of experience with tax compliance software
- 10+ years of advanced experience with Excel
