MRI Technologist -

- Hourly Salary: $40.00 - $53.00
- Full-time.
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday with overtime.

- Location: Syracuse, NY (Camillus, NY an eastern suburb of Syracuse in central New York State)

Position Summary:
*Under the supervision of the administrator and MRI staff, the employee performs MRI exams competently for consistent outcome of established imaging protocols.*Employee needs to be self motivated.
*Responsible patient identification, reviews MRI screening form with the patient to ensure patient is safe to enter MRI scanner, obtaining patient history, giving explanation of exam and procedure to be perform, patient positioning and setting up protocols for the scan.
*Performs intravenous contrast injections on patients per NYS injection certification.
*Must have knowledge of age specific dosing for MRI.
*Responsible for QA procedures, performing research projects under the direction of physicians.
*Reviews images for technical and diagnostic quality and correct labeling of images.
*Uses a PACS system.
*Responsible for billing and tracking of patients utilizing EPIC.
*Responsible for following policies/procedures, ACR and NYSDOH guidelines.
*Cleans/stocks the MRI area.
*Assists fellow co-workers in the department.
*Performs other related duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Medical Radiography or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- License and Registration (ARRT) required.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
- Contrast Injection certification is required.
- ARRT Board Certification for Magnetic Resonance Imaging or eligible.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of MRI experience or clinical training preferred.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Medical Radiography or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- License and Registration (ARRT) required.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
- Contrast Injection certification is required.
