Job description:
JOB DUTIES
Prepare, review, and file Federal, State, Sales and Use tax returns.
Complete and maintain 855, 990 forms; manage overall tax data and systems.
Oversee and perform tax planning activities for the System, divisions, and sites as well as communicate and recommend opportunities.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations as well as communicate changes and associated implications with the VP of Finance and Controller.
Assist with research and planning on current tax laws and evaluates the tax impact of current and proposed organization activities and transactions.
Identify and recommend ways to minimize tax liability in accordance with current tax laws.
Oversee and maintain tax master records.
Support internal and external audit requests.
Conduct property tax exemptions, processes payments, and work with legal as necessary.
Inform Divisional CFOs and business leaders on strategic tax data insights that are easy to understand and utilize.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree - Required
3 years Experience in tax - Required
1 year Not for Profit Tax and Healthcare experience - Preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - State Licensing Board - Preferred
