SENIOR BUSINESS INTELIGENCE ANALYST

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position provides expertise in data delivery and administration using provided tools such as IBM Cognos and Power BI Reports. Provide expertise in data warehousing using relational database (e.g. Oracles, MS SQL, Server BI Studio) and ETL Technologies (e.g. WhereScape, TimeXtender). Keeps abreast of state of the market capabilities: continuously monitor how to effectively apply technology to improve processes, communications and information

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

·    BS in Business Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field OR a combination of experience in access of 5-7 years data warehouse/business intelligence experience

·    Experience with: WhereScape RED and/or TimeXtender Data warehousing tools a major plus.

·    Experience with Cognos and PowerBI is positive, but not required.

·    Experience with Azure SQL, Synapse Serverless, D365 Dynamics F&O all a plus

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·         Understanding of data modeling concepts, OLAP Cubes, Star Schemas, Relational DBs, etc.

·         High proficiency in SQL, SQL Server Databases

·         Proficiency in Oracle DBs a plus

·         Experience with Financial Reporting packages

·         Experience in the manufacturing industry

·         High personal and professional integrity

·         Ability to collaborate with a small team

·         Able to perform job functions with minimal oversight

·         Ability to identify and understand the existing organizational culture

·         Ability to articulate vision of transformation efforts

·         Highly developed skills in priority setting and aligning to a Departmental strategy

·         Ability to break down complex problems into manageable goals

·         Ability to use critical thinking to solve complex problems related to entity linking

·         Capability to analyze and troubleshoot complicated data sets

·         Possess demonstrated experience in systems project management and implementation in a manufacturing environment

·         Excellent English for in office working environment 

 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Lead and Assist with the development, implementation and ongoing support of business applications and business intelligence solutions through participation in all life-cycle phases; requirements, analysis, development, pilot, test, training, data conversions

·         Develop a thorough knowledge of manufacturing systems, business processes, data structures and information delivery/analysis tools and technique

·         Develop knowledge of application solutions and business processes

·         Participate in the design and implementation of business process changes

·         Develop and manage projects. Determine resources, meet project schedules/milestones and complete project deliverables according to department standards

·         Develop and document procedural and system documentation. Lead and Facilitate training of key users

·         Participate and lead in the evaluation and selection of alternatives, solutions and partners

·         Communicate plans, activities, progress, issues and status to management and key stakeholders
