Sales Account Rep
- Fast growing meat distributor is expanding the sales team and is looking for a protein sales rep toe help expand the Chicago and the Midwest territory
- MUST HAVE PROTEIN OR PRODUCE SALES EXPERIENCE TO GROCERY
Responsibilities:
- Sell various proteins to new and existing customers. Includes asking questions to pinpoint the best offerings, giving demos or presentations, and maintaining customer relationships.
- Reach out to leads through a variety of channels, such as email, phone, text, and social media.
- Negotiating with leads and using persuasion techniques to overcome objections and landing deals that are beneficial to the company, while also providing customers with optimal value.
- Participate in company meetings with sales managers and other sales reps. Involves providing a recap of recent results and accomplishments.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts across large and small grocery chains
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of sales experience or account management from the protein industry selling to grocery stores
- MUST HAVE knowledge of various proteins or produce; ideally meats, fishes, pork, chicken, lamb and related
- Proactive
- Excellent communication skills
- Hungry to go after new business
- Team player
- Self-directed
- Motivated by commission sales
Preferred experience:
- BS/BA in Business, Operations, Economics, or related
- Bi-lingual English / Spanish is preferred
