CNAs provide daily care to enhance a patient’s daily life, wellness and dignity and assisting with various personal care issues such as:
• Feeding the patient
• Assisting patient with grooming and using the toilet
• Bathing the patient
• Turning the bedbound patient
• Changing the patient’s linens
• Keeping the patient’s living space clean
• Assisting with the set-up of medical equipment
• Stocking medical supplies
Other Duties:
- Providing support services to patients in their home under the supervision of the Hospice RN.
- Assisting the patient in the achievement of physical and emotional comfort according to the Plan of Care
- Help with therapeutic exercise, light household tasks, and ADLs
- Recognize and report changes in condition to the RN
Requirements:
- CNA Certification -MUST have
- High School graduate or GED--MUST have
- Use of personal vehicle with proof of insurance and valid driver’s license
- Compassion to work with terminally ill patients
